Korisma Grant, LMSW
Korisma Grant, LMSW obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University in New York and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. She specializes in trauma-informed therapy, and uses this approach to help clients address concerns such as women’s issues, intimate partner violence, depression, anxiety, sexual assault, relationship issues, self-esteem, and stress/coping. Korisma walks with clients through life’s challenges and provides support in a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients are empowered to recognize their strengths as they explore their concerns, heal, and grow. In practicing from a multi-cultural and client-centered lens, she understands that each client is different and collaborates with clients to ensure treatment is tailored to their unique needs.
While Korisma’s Christian beliefs influence the way she understands pain and healing, she sees clients from diverse backgrounds and respects the views of each client. For those who desire, she can incorporate faith into counseling as faith can play an integral role in an individual’s identity and worldview.
Korisma was raised in New York, enjoys reading/learning, and loves to travel when she can.
