Preventive Care

Often called annual exams or well-woman visits, regular preventive care visits are the best way to stay up-to-date with your health and screenings, find out if there are any areas of concern, and work with your provider on a plan to improve your well-being. Your insurance may cover this type of service every year or every other year.

Symptom-Specific Visits

When you notice a worrying or unexpected gynecological change, our providers are available to discuss, diagnose and treat your condition. These non-routine visits can include diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, biopsy, and other testing.

Fertility Care

Arborwoman offers a FEMM-based approach to infertility diagnosis and treatment to evaluate and address underlying gynecologic conditions that may be inhibiting conception and carrying safely to term. This process uses detailed information from each couple’s medical history and analysis of the patient’s menstrual cycle and hormones to provide personalized medicine and targeted therapies utilizing the latest medical evidence.

We also offer a holistic approach with FEMM-based medical management for other hormonal concerns and ovulatory disorders, including PCOS, irregular periods, and painful or heavy periods. Combined with cycle charting and hormone testing, we provide an individualized, holistic plan to help promote hormone balance and healthy ovulatory cycles.

Fertility Awareness

FEMM stands for Fertility Education & Medical Management. It is a fertility health education program that centers around educating you to know your signs of fertility, recognize normal and abnormal cycle patterns, and understand the role your cycle and hormones play in your overall health. By learning about your cycle and how to chart, you will be empowered to identify what a normal and healthy cycle is for you, what could point to a potential health issue, and be able to achieve your reproductive goals to avoid or achieve pregnancy.

FAQs

Can I have multiple types of visits?

You can have both a preventive and symptom-specific visit together, but there may be additional charges. Our participation with insurance requires that we correctly bill each service as it was performed. For example, if you have scheduled a preventive visit, but have several medical problems to discuss during the visit which the provider needs to spend significant time addressing, there would be an additional office visit charge as well as your routine preventive care charge.

Our medical & counseling staff are by your side with the information you need to make an informed decision.
