Philip V. Fleming, MD
Philip V. Fleming, MD graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 1975. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1979 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in 1983. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is an active member of the Catholic Medical Association.
With many years of OB/GYN experience, Dr. Fleming has delivered more than 6,000 babies and has guided women through both healthy and complicated pregnancies. Dr. Fleming’s clinical interests include: preventive care, diagnostic ultrasound, prenatal and postpartum care, gynecologic problems, and natural family planning support. Currently he provides prenatal care and postpartum care, with deliveries being done by coordinating doctors at the Family Medicine Mother-Baby Unit at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. For women planning to deliver at a different hospital, he offers prenatal care through the first trimester. Dr. Fleming also offers a range of gynecology services, including preventive care, problem pregnancy visits, and Natural Family Planning (NFP) support. As a well-trained Sympto-Thermal Natural Family Planning physician, he has skill in training and use of the method during all phases of women’s lives. Dr. Fleming also specializes in helping women through menopause, especially using effective natural methods and lifestyle changes.
Dr. Fleming and his wife have six children and are members of Christ the King Parish. He enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, outdoor sports, and studying theology.
